Connection check
Connect to a route and verify that it works
After importing the subscription, choose a route region based on your destination. For a service intended for Japan, prioritize a Japan route; for a service intended for the United States, choose a US route. Both route type and region affect access results. For the first test, change only one variable: fix the destination region, connect to one route, confirm basic access, and then compare other routes.
Turn on the client’s connection switch and wait until the status changes to Connected. Then open VzVPN’s IP check page and confirm that the exit region matches the selected route. If the region has changed, the client connection is active. Next, open the website or app you actually need and confirm that loading, sign-in, and content access all work normally. A Connected status alone is not enough—the exit region and target service must both pass verification to complete the setup.
If the exit region has not changed, disconnect first and confirm that the selected route is one of those imported from the current subscription. If it still does not work, check whether the system has granted network configuration permission, then temporarily close other tools that manage network traffic and try again. If the exit region is correct but the target service remains inaccessible, switch to another route in the same region rather than changing the region, mode, and several advanced settings at once.
If the client reports a subscription update failure, return to Account Overview and confirm the plan status first. Then copy the personal subscription link again and update it. If the route connects but performance is unstable, compare nearby regions or different route types. The How to Choose: Cross-Border Network Services Buying Guide covers route selection, billing analysis, and troubleshooting in more detail; this page keeps only the essential first-use steps.
Completion checklist
The plan is active, the client can update its routes, the exit region matches the selected route after connecting, and the target website or app works normally. Once all four conditions are met, basic setup is complete.
